Thursday October 5th Wrap up

Today was primarily a work day. We discussed your maquettes and sketches, as well as how best to get started.

Everyone should have started building! You only have 4 weeks, so you should have at least 8 inches going. Make sure to think of base as support and a formal part of your sculpture. Consider it's proportion and intention as well as it's integration into the overall design.

We talked about glazing your 1" sculptures. They must be glazed/stained by next Tuesday to load in the kiln.It is your responsibility to monitor the drying of your heads. They need to be ready for a bisque firing on Tuesday. Have a good weekend and email if you have any questions or need any help.
